Starting from January 1, 2019, the “ZDMP project: Zero Defects Manufacturing Platform“, to which Softeco participates as a partner, is launched: another important step for our Industry 4.0 sector.

The four-year project aims to develop a platform for the control and improvement of the “Zero Defects” Product and Process Quality in the Industry 4.0 field. The ZDMP platform will combine state-of-the-art technology approaches based on commercial software or robust open source platforms with innovative integration concepts. It will develop a framework that will include both a set of critical core services for enterprise-level applications for Industry 4.0 and an extensible catalog of concrete applications in manufacturing. These will be distributed through a specific marketplace developed with the idea of transferring to an industrial context the model of the common App Store – such as Google Play or Apple Store – with the creation of a dynamic ecosystem in which industrial actors and developers can collaborate of solutions.

The consortium that promotes the ZDMP project includes several players at European and international level, including companies supplying ICT solutions (such as Softeco, ICE, Software AG, ScaleFocus), suppliers of solutions in the manufacturing sector (Profactor GmbH, Ceteck Tecnológica SL, Video Systems Srl), industrial partners in the automotive field (Ford, Martinrea, Sandvik), industrial machinery (Fidia SpA, HSD, Formplast), electronic (Continental, Mass, AlphaTest ) and construction (Consugal, PT Mills, Flex, CEI , Gramafam), as well as universities and research institutes (Ikerlan, ITI – Instituto Tecnológico de Informática, UNINOVA, Universitat Politecnica de Valencia and TUT) and the German institute for DIN standardization.

The project is funded under the Horizon 2020 program for the topic Factories of the Future – Digitizing and transforming European industry and services (H2020 DT-ICT-07-2018-2019).
