Smart working enters Softeco. The digital company of the TerniEnergia Group and the trade unions have, in fact, signed an agreement to test the so-called “agile work” for 6 months. Thanks to this, the employees will be able to carry out their activity both in a different company location, closer to the employee’s place of residence, and in another place suitable for an IT connection to the company network and secure in terms of data and information protection.
Smart working to increase productivity
“With this agreement – comments the CEO of Softeco, Laura Bizzarri – we intend to support the resilient attitude of the company, in line with the trend of the reference markets. Softeco intends to propose itself to its customers as an innovative company capable of absorbing new trends aimed at improving the working life of its employees, as a prerequisite for increasing individual and company productivity. We want to underline how the level of interlocution with the trade union organizations has grown, favoring the construction of new corporate welfare policies, aimed at developing working conditions that are harmonized with the requirements of competitiveness and the quality of life of employees and their families “.
All employees involved
Softeco’s business activities, which are developed in the IT field, are particularly suitable for adopting the smart working or “agile work” methods provided for by Italian law 81/2017. The recipients of the testing agreement are potentially all permanent employees, including apprenticeships and determined, with exclusion of staff during the trial period and of employees whose activities can not be performed remotely. The individual agreement of smart working will integrate the individual employment contract to any effect and may be required by the company to the employee for production and organizational needs, also related to the particular consultancy activity, or it may be requested by the employee to the company by necessity reconciliation of work and private life.
The working days to be carried out in smart working, during the six months of experimentation, may be a maximum of five per month; this limit can be increased up to eight for staff with a home site more than 100 km from the usual place of work. Specific exemptions can be analyzed by the company and by the RSU.
The contribution of the sustainability agreement
Among the consequences of the agreement signed with the trade union representatives, which will allow workers to operate from their homes or elsewhere, using the technological tools provided by the Company, there is also the incentive for the culture of sustainability. The agreement on smart working will produce, in fact, a better organization of time to devote to the family, fewer trips to reach the workplace with consequent reduction of pollution caused by transport, efficiency of performance through the use of digital equipment .
