The University of Genoa (Department of Earth, Environment and Life and Physics Department) and the Port Authority of Savona will illustrate how the WhaleSafe project (,, funded by the European Commission within the Life+ Programme, will promote the conservation of whales, through creation of a detection and alarm system with intelligent buoys, which will avoid the possible collisions of these whales with ships.

Softeco Sismat participates in the WhaleSafe project as ICT solution provider and is responsible for the design and development of the “Monitoring and alarm generation centre”.
